Goran Visnjic Will Return as Flynn in Timeless

Fans of the NBC series “Timeless” were more than delighted when after the initial news about the series cancellation, the network revealed that there would be a second season. Withdrawing its first announcement caused quite a stir. In a press interview, the chairman of NBC network explained that the main reason why they decided to give “Timeless” another chance was that of the fans' requests. Even though compared to some of the networks' other offerings, the show's ratings were not that high, “Timeless” managed to gather a strong fan base in its first season of airing. The most responsible for the strong fan base is the Croatian actor, Goran Visnjic.

It isn’t cheap to pull off a successful show. In fact, the most popular TV series produced are often the most expensive. One of the things that made NBC initially move “Timeless” of the air was the series production costs. Time travel films and series tend to be costly in general because of all those different costumes and sets which portray different eras. So was the case with “Timeless”.  Still, the team had to work on a TV budget, which isn’t as nearly large as it usually is for films.

Despite its tight budget, the series is well produced and it totally deserved to come back. Fan support from different social media platforms helped the series get renewed, although this time it is only for 10 episodes. Timeless is the only time-travel show to survive the freshman slaughter. This phenomenal sci-fi drama has a great story that takes the audience emotionally to a completely different place and time each week. The show is created by Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan, and the main stars are Goran Visnjic, Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter and Malcolm Barrett.

Goran Visnjic, best known for his role as Dr. Luka Kovac on the hit series ER, plays the series villain Garcia Flynn.  Rather than a villain, Goran Visnjic prefers to call his character antagonist. Although Flynn does some crazy things, ultimately, he believes that everything he does is for the greater good. Flynn is a likable and relatable character, determined to fix the deaths of his wife and daughter.

For the future, Goran has new project in mind, that will be shoot in Lisabon, Portugal.

Interview on the set of "Crossing lines", season three

Interviewer : A Polish cinematographer once said that acting is more about hiding than showing. Goran Visnjic : I guess that’s true. Interviewer: Your role in "Crossing lines" is a perfect example of this. Marco joined the special unit of the International Criminal Court as an expert in abductions, but kept his privacy and that will remain hidden until the end of the season. Goran Visnjic: It is interesting that you raise the topic at this moment, because today we were shooting a scene with Elizabeth (Mitchell), which has a lot to do with what we're now talking about. Heroine Elizabeth - Karine talked about Marco's sister, who has been kidnapped. She knows very well that he accepts this too personally. Just two hours before starting the filming, writers sent us some new directions for the scenes.
