Visnjic Returns to the Small Screen with a New Series

The new 2016 TV season has just begun, and all networks have already released their shows, and set their airing dates. With so many shows and series coming out every season, it has become so much harder to keep track and follow them. The sci-fi genre has indeed thrived over the past few years, and there are more and more fiction works released every week. One of the most announced and anticipated series for this fall season has definitely been “Timeless’”, which for quite a while has been characterized as a hot pilot at NBC. Timeless is a brand new sci- fi drama with a lot of energy. The story follows a group of three heroes into the adventure of their lives, chasing the bad guy named Garcia Flynn, played by Visnjic.

Described as “Back to the Future meets Mission Impossible”, the series is collaboration between Eric Kripke “Supernatural” and Shawn Ryan “The Shield”, both known as genre TV veterans. The two of them wrote the script and serving as executive producers. The series’ villain Flynn played by Goran Višnjic, is an ex-NSA asset from Eastern Europe who steals a time machine from a private enterprise run by a rich man named Connor Mason. After he steals the time machine he immediately vanishes, but fortunately they have a prototype, which is far worse than the original, but was kept for emergency situations.

A team made of history professor who knows all the important dates and actual facts, a Special Forces soldier, and a computer science engineer are hired by the government to go after Goran Visnjic or Flynn, and stop him from making a catastrophic mistake and ruining all mankind. After stealing the time machine, Flynn travels back to May 1937, just as the Hindenburg is about to land, or as we know to explode. Apparently his plan is to change the future by changing history, but the details regarding it are still a mystery. All we know is that he is the villain, the one who starts the whole chain of events by stealing the time machine, and possibly in a bid to alter the course of US history and kill America in the crib.

Interview on the set of "Crossing lines", season three

Interviewer : A Polish cinematographer once said that acting is more about hiding than showing. Goran Visnjic : I guess that’s true. Interviewer: Your role in "Crossing lines" is a perfect example of this. Marco joined the special unit of the International Criminal Court as an expert in abductions, but kept his privacy and that will remain hidden until the end of the season. Goran Visnjic: It is interesting that you raise the topic at this moment, because today we were shooting a scene with Elizabeth (Mitchell), which has a lot to do with what we're now talking about. Heroine Elizabeth - Karine talked about Marco's sister, who has been kidnapped. She knows very well that he accepts this too personally. Just two hours before starting the filming, writers sent us some new directions for the scenes.
